Ganesh, or Ganesha, is a Hindu deity which has an elephant head on a human body. He is the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati and is considered the god of wisdom, luck and success. He is known for helping to remove obstacles from your path. It is particularly auspicious to pray to Ganesh when starting a new project or business to bring luck and success.

Put Ganesha on your altar for good luck and energy for your intentions. Some say Ganesh loves chocolate so putting a piece on your altar can go further to receiving his help.
