Banded Black Agate is a form of Chalcedony which is a form of Quartz which you can see in some of the pieces. It looks very dense and black, however, holding it to the light shows it is actually translucent. It is very grounding, rooting and connects with the Earth Star and root Chakras. It is very soothing and calming and helps with inner reflection and meditation.
