Selenite is a crystal of high energy, vibration and white light that connects to our higher self. However, do not put it in water. It will soak up the moisture turning it grey and over time it will dissolve.
Selenite is a form of gypsum and comes in blue, clear, fishtail, green, peach, orange or orange brown, brown and white. It can be found in Morocco, Mexico, Madagascar, Australia and other places around the world.

White Selenite is the most common, which has long strands or slivers which light seems to travel through like fibre optics. They work quite well on a lighted base and make beautiful and decorative lamps. Put a rod on the floor under your bed for a restful sleep and to help align the spine. Run a rod over your body to cleanse your aura and help to remove heaviness and blocks. Small rods are a perfect size to use in grids and crystal kits. To charge your crystals, place them on a bar of Selenite.
To help relaxation, place Selenite rods fanned out in a circle on the floor. Place Rose Quartz pieces with each rod and add either a piece of Pyrite or Black Tourmaline at the bottom. Lay down inside the circle for up to 20 minutes. It leaves you feeling relaxed and fresh.
Peach/Red Selenite, or Goundi as the Moroccans call it, is a stone of forgiveness and emotional healing. It helps us to work through past emotional trauma.
Desert Rose Selenite is a brown ball with blades and can come singly, but most often in clusters. The clusters make very nice decorative pieces in the home. It helps to quiet the mind to give us clarity, strength to stand our ground when needed and to get us moving energetically.
In crystal healing, Selenite can be placed anywhere on the body, especially the Crown and Heart chakras. Place it under the healing table to infuse light into the session. If needing balance, place a piece of Selenite in one hand and Black Tourmaline in the other.
