Lapis Lazuli for Intuition

Lapis enhances communication, intuition and truth. Placing it at the throat chakra is believed to foster deep communication, self-awareness and expression.

Lapis Lazuli, also referred to as Lapis, is a gemstone with a rich history. It has been extracted from a dangerous and remote location in Afghanistan since ancient times. Additionally, traces of Lapis have been discovered in Argentina, Pakistan and Peru. This vibrant blue stone was highly treasured in the ancient world. The Egyptians, for instance, would grind it into a powder to create cosmetics and artist pigments, even valuing it above gold. Due to its ease of polishing, Lapis has been transformed into a variety of items, including jewelry, statues, vases and ornaments.

The unique blue hue of Lapis comes from Lazurite, its primary constituent. It also showcases white veins of Calcite and sparkles of Pyrite, which add to its beauty. From personal observation, I have found that the Lapis from Afghanistan and Pakistan are of superior quality, while the Peruvian ones tend to contain more Calcite. 

Lapis is not just visually appealing but also has healing properties. It enhances communication, intuition and truth. Placing it at the throat chakra is believed to foster deep communication, self-awareness and expression. When placed on the forehead, it is thought to relieve headaches. Using Lapis at the 3rd Eye chakra is believed to stimulate the pituitary gland, thereby boosting intuition. It also provides insight, clarity and wisdom.

In crystal healing, placing Lapis on the forehead and Solar Plexus can unlock one's inner wisdom, truth and insight.

When used during meditation, this unique stone can enhance intuition, helping us connect with our innermost truth and wisdom. In essence, Lapis Lazuli is more than just a gemstone; it is a key to unlocking our potential and realizing our true selves.
